Cottage pie ingredients - what you will need
Base:
- 1kg of beef mince
- 1 Onion
- 2 Celery sticks
- 150ml of red wine
- 1 Tbsp spoon of tomato paste
- 2 Pinches of thyme
- 2 pinches of parsley
- Salt & pepper to season
- 1 can of tomatoes
Topping:
- 1.2kgs of potato - mashed
- 200ml Milk
- 25g Butter
- 1cup of cheese
- 1 Tbsp of smoked paprika

Cook time: Bake for 30 minutes at 190 degrees.
Brad the Butchers Tip:
Make a double batch of cottage pie and freeze one. You will really appreciate it on those weeknights when you can not be bothered cooking. Simply steam a few veggies and you are good to go.
